Hi all,

Well a big Congratulations to Liz Hurley and Shane Warne on their recent engagement.  And what a whopper of a sapphire and diamond ring she has bagged herself!!  Commiserations however to the poor Hoff who has had his proposal rejected, again.....

If you're thinking about popping the question, then we have a few suggestions on how you could do it! As I am sure you can see I have included more than 5 in my top list but I got carried away!!

1. Hire a skywriter to spell your proposal for everyone to see.
2. Make the box with the engagement ring a selection on the dessert tray of your favourite restaurant.
3. Spell out your proposal on the fridge with refrigerator magnets.
4. Make her ring the surprise in a Christmas cracker.
5. Re-create a movie scene of her favourite romantic movie.  The end of Sleepless in Seattle is a good one, providing you are at the top of the Empire State Building that is!
6. This one takes a little pre-planning and requires snow!  Visit a beautiful, reclusive romantic spot within walking distance of home and bury a bottle of champagne, glasses and chocolates under a mound of snow.  Write 'Will you marry me' in the snow.  The next day (preferably Christmas Day), take your girlfriend for a surprise walk in the snow and at this point pray that you can remember where you left the message!  Lead her to the 'Will you marry me' message in the snow, get down on one knee, pull out the big diamond and hopefully she'll say Yes!  Once you have an affirmative answer, dig up the champers and chocs and celebrate - providing of course that no-one has discovered your secret stash and made off with the goodies (this is known in our office as a J Pritchard special!)
7. You could of course always send a FunPunch ecard :)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!

Hi all,

I'm sure that you have noticed my Blog absence for a week or two (or at least I do like to think you have!)....I have been enjoying the most relaxing and chilled holiday on a beautiful Greek island.  I have overindulged on Tzatziki, olives, stuffed vine leaves, swordfish, souvlaki, stifado and of course the obligatory shots of Ouzo and carafes of wine, and am now back and refreshed ready to crack on with work! I did of course have time to send my colleagues a cheeky ecard so say 'Wish you were here' - lol!

Whilst I have been away, my team have been super at answering all your ecard questions and queries.  If you do have any more or you are having problems with any ecards then please let me know so we can fix them.

We have added a button on the site called 'Here to Help' - this appears below your ecard once you have created it.  The idea is that if you are not happy with your ecard and don't want to send it, then we'd really appreciate it if you could tell us why!

That's it for now! Thanks for reading!

Charlie xx

P.S I am determined to get over 2000 fans on our Facebook page so please keep sharing your ecards on Facebook!

Following on from my previous Blog, I thought I'd continue with the Hen/Stag theme!

With pre planned forfeits for the Bride/Groom as standard it is no wonder that things tend to get out of hand!  Take for example a recent stag and hen night in England that over lapped with disastrous consequences!  As the Hen undertook one of her forfeits (to kiss a man in uniform), her husband to be and his Stag party happened to walk in to the very same bar and witnessed the whole incident.  Insults were hurled, rings were thrown and the wedding was off - a case of very bad planning by the Bridesmaids and Best Man!

A recent Hen Party found themselves facing hefty fines when they mistakenly took a policemen (who was responding to neighbours' complaints about a noisy hen party) for a stripper.  The gaggle of intoxicated women began to undress the policemen (ignoring his protestations that he really was a policeman), and it was only when his partner called for reinforcements that the ladies realised what had happened - oopsies - but an easy mistake to make! :)

Or what about the Stag party that flew to Spain for a long weekend, taking with them a midget.  Yes, this group of pals hired a midget for the four day bender, painted him Blue so he looked like a Smurf and handcuffed him to the Stag for the entire duration (apparently no midgets were harmed in the antics!)

But aside from all the funny tales we must take heed and remember 'When Stag/Hen Parties go wrong' (that's almost a title for a great TV programme!).
A stag was recently gored in the buttocks whilst taking part in the annual bull running festival in Pamplona, Spain (thankfully he did recover).
A bridegroom and his best man were taken to hospital with severe sunburn after being dumped naked on the roadside in scorching temperatures.  The pair were left handcuffed, covered in eggs, flour and tomato sauce on the side of the road in temperatures reaching 80F (28C).  A night in hospital and some painful sunburnt days later they returned home.
A hen weekend flirted with disaster when the private boat they were on struck a submerged log and sank within seconds.  Luckily all of the Hen Party were rescued!

Do you have any funny Hen/Stag tales that you'd like to share?  Or perhaps you have learned lessons from your own Stag/Hen parties? We'd love to hear them!

As summer draws to a close so does the wedding season!  I know that summertime is traditionally a busy wedding season, but this year it seems to be constant!  If I'm not attending a wedding or a wedding reception, I seem to be partaking in a Hen night/day or helping to arrange the Hen weekend, visiting bridal shops, florists and of course not to mention Wedding Fayre that occur up and down the country.  Not that I mind of course - it is what us girlies love doing - shopping, weddings and partying!!

Apart from the Wedding itself - which of course is beautiful/romantic/emotional/perfect/unforgettable etc etc, it seems to be the Hen and Stag Parties that are becoming an event themselves.  Gone are the days when it used to be a few drinks the night before the wedding with the girls/boys and then home in bed by 10pm!  These days it seems to have turned into a weekend event (at the bare minimum!) and almost a competition of who can have the most outrageous Hen/Stag party.  I should point out at this juncture that if you are silly enough to arrange your 'last night of freedom' the night before your wedding, then I have absolutely no sympathy for you if you feel a little 'ropey' on the day of your wedding!!

Over the years I have partaken in various Hen activities and some of course have been wilder than others - from more relaxed activities such as pottery painting and afternoon tea to horse riding, visits to the zoo, trips abroad, a night in a Beer Kellar and my very favourite - Burlesque dancing (nipple tassels and all!). But I can safely say I have enjoyed every one of them and of course enjoyed the dressing up - whether it is the obligatory 'Hen T-shirts', Hen hats, feather boas and various phallic items, to dressing up as Nurses, fairies, Bumble Bees, a Bavarian Beer Drinker and even a Penguin!

But the question is, when do these parties get out of hand?  Is it when the groom/bride is arrested/lost/ends up in hospital/left naked and tied to a lamp post or is this now considered 'the norm'?  Are strippers still essential or are they now a thing of the past? Whilst I'm definitely no party pooper and have enjoyed some wild Hen/Stag tales, it does raise the questions of when do things go too far?

Please feel free to comment with your thoughts! :)

It's here again!  The UK -factor show is back for an 8th series starting this weekend!  This series we get to enjoy the tasty Dermot O'Leary as host, and see the new panel of judges - Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos!  The audition shows are always the best when we get to see an array of 'talent'. Always a hoot to watch as you can guarantee there will be some performers that should never be allowed to sing in their own shower, let alone in public!  There will of course, without a doubt, be the obligatory Elvis wannabe, a Rap star and a Marilyn impersonator!

I'm already looking forward to a cosy Saturday night in!!!

We've recently heard back from a few of you who have experienced problems posting your ecards on Facebook.  The problem is occurring when users are sharing their ecards with lots of friends on Facebook.  Unfortunately at the moment Facebook set a daily limit on the number of ecards that can be shared by one user.  This is to prevent Facebook users being Spammed (so it is to protect you rather than annoy you!).  The limit changes daily depending on how many of our users are sharing their ecards. but it is generally between 20 - 30.  So if you're experiencing problems sharing your ecards on Facebook this could be the issue!

Of course, please feel free to contact us if you're experiencing any other problems!

.......a successful Blog!

Surfing the internet this week, I stumbled across various articles about Blogging, how important it is to be a regular Blogger, how people love to Blog or read Blogs and tips to Blog success.  Apparently Blogging isn't "just about giving information to your audience, it is about connecting with your audience".  So after my extensive research I thought I'd use the 6 keys to a successful Blog to write my Blog this week:

1. Write a headline that gets you noticed.  How about NOTICE ME!!
2. Create content that keeps people reading.  How about some juicy gossip, although it's only juicy if you know who I'm talking about!
3. Welcome and acknowledge comments.  Hard to do when there aren't any :)
4. Share some link love.  Been there, done that, got the T-shirt and not sure many people love me!
5. Leave the formalities at home. Hhhmmmm I think I can safely say that I have always been conversational.
6. Offer more than just words to your readers.  Aren't my readers reading then?

Thoughts anyone?

Birthday ecards are our number one occasion ecard that our members send.  Hardly surprising after all as everyone celebrates a birthday don't they? Furthermore, in this day and age everyone has their own (or at least access!) to an email address/Facebook page.  Coupled with the fact that ecards can be sent last minute (just in case you've forgotten that special day), quickly and easily, it's no wonder that more people are sending Birthday ecards!

With that in mind, we have a bit of Birthday trivia for you - all in all pretty useless information, but interesting none the less!

  • More people celebrate their Birthdays in August than in any other month.  The two other months that rate high for birthdays are July and September.
  • The most common birth date is October 5th and the least common is May 22nd (in USA - although how this is worked out I don't know!)
  • Tuesday is the day of the week when most babies are born, whilst Sunday is the lowest
  • Since your last birthday 31,536,000 seconds have passed.
  • The oldest living man is Jiroemon Kimura (Japan) who was born on 19th April 1987 and celebrated his 114th Birthday earlier this year
  • The world's largest Birthday cake was created in 1989.  The cake weight 128,238 pounds and 8 ounces and used 16,209 pounds of icing.
